In July 2015 we spent two days in Darwin with Carers NT working with the fantastic young people from their Young Carers Program. Together we made a short film that reflects the experience of being a young carer. This was one of those great projects where we not only had the opportunity to make a film about the program but also got to pass on some of the skills of filmmaking through the process. Participants in the film not only talked on camera about being a young carer but also were active behind the scenes conducting interviews, using the cameras, supervising the sound and making decisions about framing and shot selection.

It was a fantastic project to work on and we hope you enjoy the film
