InSite was a cross cultural and collaborative filmmaking project for young people of all cultural backgrounds. Running throughout 2011 and 2012 InSite consisted of free workshops and professional mentoring for a series of participants interested in filmmaking and social justice. The participants learnt to script, shoot and edit as a digital artist and crew member.
Participants gained skills and produce a personal story for the screen, be it a documentary, short film, music video or video installation based on their own experiences of culture, identity and resilience.
“Inside InSite” follows the participants as while they make their films and explore themes around representation, identity, community and belonging. This doco is currently in post-production and will be available along side all the student’s films on the “InSite” DVD later this year.
You can watch the participants films, and rent or buy the doco here!
