Over the past weeks we have been working on a fantastic project ‘Connecting to Sea Country’ led by VACCA (Victorian Aboriginal Child Care). This project is designed to give students from Thornbury High School a powerful cultural experience involving spending a day on The Pelican 1 Catamaran, hearing stories from Boonwurrung elder Aunty Carolyn Briggs and Marine Scientist Harry Breidahl and following up by making a reflective digital story about their experience. That’s where we come in! We spent an action packed day on the boat gathering footage with the students that has then been pooled into a library for them to use for their short films that they have begun editing at our studio. We are extraordinarily fortunate to get the opportunity to work on great projects like this. Thanks Sarah, Alison, Nat, Aunty and all for setting this up!
