Live Up is a series of living skills resources made for young people moving into independent living. The project has been in production for the past year or so and it’s finally on the home-stretch and it’s taken an exciting shape. Live Up will be a DVD and a website containing a set of resources tackling subjects like job interview skills, home cleaning, budgeting and also cooking on a budget.

Our trainee Hayden Layton has held the reigns on this project and acted as Producer, working with our Youthworx Media students as crew to conceptualise and craft this project into a reality; we’d really like to publicly thank all the students for their involvement, it’s been great to watch their skills expand. Also special commendation to our Senior Youth Worker Nicola Innes who has been a great help in acting as an Independent Living Consultant for the project, she’s been a vital piece of the puzzle!

Live Up was funded by City of Melbourne and the Department of Education, Employment and Work Relations.
It will be available later in the year.
